Spanish term or phrase: test para media de uno o varios tratamientos
se trata de un programa analítico de la materia estadística. Cuando menciona los temas dice lo siguiente:
Test de hipótesis: problema de test de hipótesis: potencia y nivel. Test para binomial e hipergeometrica. Test para media de uno o varios tratamientos. Cómo puedo traducir "test para media de uno o varios tratamientos"?

English translation:test for (equality of) means of one or more treatments
Explanation:
He/she is talking about t (Student) and F (analysis of variance) tests for equality of means, but expresses himself poorly. To test the mean of one treatment, it is compared to the mean of a control group. The Spanish should have read something like "test para igualdad de media para dos o más grupos", and the English "test for equality of means of...". You should include the "equality of", even though the author did not.

It is true that I made assumptions and changed the source text. I taught statistics to biology students and others for 25 years; from the Spanish text it was clear to me what he is doing, so I feel my assumptions are fully justified. When I translate and make modifications, I mark the words and comment on them, asking for the author's approval.

neutral  DLyons: What you are saying makes perfect sense but the author would have to be expressing himself very poorly indeed!

neutral  Dr Neil Ashby: I agree with DLyons you are making many assumptions and radically changing the source "uno o various" has become "dos o mas" in your interpretation
