Explanation: Campana meaning "bell", this could be a fitting translation, although "normal distribution" also appears to be correct. This is why I am putting only "medium" confidence.
Bell curve (note the reference to normal distribution): A normal curve; normal distribution, a theoretical distribution with finite mean end variants.
