Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering / Box machine
Spanish term or phrase: tensión de operación
Hello. The box machine specifications include a "tensión de operación". I would have translated it directly as "operative voltage"... But the values given are in Hertz and kilowatts, not in volts. So it can't be "voltage", can it?

"Tensión de operación: trifásica, tierra 60 Hz, 1,75 KW".

TIA.

English translation:Operating voltage
Explanation:
It is is actually the voltage and the values of frequency and power are given as the conditions, under which three-phase voltage is provided.

Why, it is stated after the colon "three phase", which actually refers to voltage. And I guess that the frequency and the power referes to the grounding (tierra) only.

Example sentence(s):
  • Operating voltage: three-phase power (50Hz) 380V ± 10%
  • 10 Rated operating voltage: three phase, 220V, 380V, 50HZ

Notes to answerer
Asker: But the text provides no voltage... Just the frequency and the power.

agree  psicutrinius: Well, voltage SHOULD be quoted. Seems one of those sloppy specs where some things are "taken for granted". Standard 3ph. voltage supply is 380V.
