Spanish term or phrase: agitarse
Document about physical activity and weight loss. I am doing a back translation for the client Sp to Eng, so I know what they want it to say, but I'm not sure it does. Could you please tell me what you understand "agitarse" to mean in the following sentences? Thank you!

getting out of breath/breathing heavily
Explanation:
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,640,000 for "out of breath" [definition]. (0.20 seconds)

I've been trying to add a little exercise to my routine this spring - some biking, rollerblading, and a little running mostly - but I'm finding that it doesn't take very long for me to be completely out of breath and miserable. The last thing I want to do is give up, since I haven't been too active this winter and don't want to completely vegetate this summer. Will I build some endurance by just doing more of what I've been doing, or am I bound to be gasping for air whenever I try to have some fun outdoors?

Results 1 - 10 of about 521,000 for "breathing heavily". (0.18 seconds)

Breathing Heavily

I just got off the StairMaster, and I feel like I'm going to die. The best way to use the StairMaster is to get on it before you eat or drink anything so you're burning stored fat instead of calories. Let me tell you, that is hard to do if you haven't eaten yet. I forgoed the regular 20+ minutes and only did fifteen. Help! Someone bring me some water!

getting (physically) worked up

Explanation:
I guess "getting physically worked up" would do the trick in most of the instances you're quoting. So, it would be along the lines of Adriana's suggestions.
Having said that, I think the whole idea of back translation is intrinsically flawed.
