Medical - Medical: Health Care
Spanish term or phrase: atención extra-hospitalaria
Habla de un programa de computadora que maneja los procesos de un hospital, como información sobre internaciones, diagnósticos, etc., y que también "contempla la atención extra-hospitalaria". Any ideas? Thanks!

Outpatient care?
Explanation:
Me imagino que se trata de servicios de atención a la salud que no requieren hospitalización; o sea, outpatient care.

agree  Noni Gilbert: In Spain, that would be hospital de día - but I am prepared to be contradicted! // See Mara´s comment above!

agree  liz askew: Definitely, for this context. There are many, many refs to "salud mental extrahospitalaria"; this must = outpatient, as there is hardly ANY mental health care outside the hospital sector, i.e. in the private/"extra-hospital" organizations.

outpatient care/home care

Explanation:
This is what I would put, as there is not quite enough context to know what exactly they mean.

disagree  Joseph Tein: Sorry ... this MIGHT be post-hospitalization, but all we see here is that it's OUTSIDE the hospital.

extra-hospital care

Explanation:
not to be confused with "extra hospital care"!

The simple solution: when extra-hospital care can cover a multitude of things. No need to try to narrow the translation down, any more than the source text, ie, it refers to ANY health-related care that's administered outside the hospital environment:
