Hello all,
I'm having trouble with the phrase above, the full paragraph is found below. I just can't visualise what the text is explaining! The paragraph refers to the dimension testing of the stopper. Any help would be very gratefully received...

El ensayo se realiza sobre 20 tapones previamente a la prueba de fragmentación. Con un Pie de Rey se mide la parte más ancha que emboca el tapón, (hasta el momento que el tapón se suelta).

It seems to me that the tester is trying to "scientifically" go about determining which stopper diameter will fit snuggly into the mouth of the vial (hasta el momento que el tapón se suelta)
