Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Drug Approval
Spanish term or phrase: Desistimiento de la Solicitud de Autorizacion
The following appears as a heading for a resolution issued by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products:
"Resolucion por la que Se Declara el Desistimiento de la Solicitud de Autorizacion del Medicamento ..."
I am not sure whether "Desistimiento" indicates the withdrawal of the application for approval or if another translation would be more appropriate. Can anyone help?
Cheers, John

Spelling note: Authorisation and Authorization are both accepted in UK English, whereas only the latter form is correct in USA.

neutral  philgoddard: You were first with a correct answer, but for some reason you're listed second. However, I always think two "-ations" in close proximity sounds slightly odd.
