Explanation:
I thought at first that "larga" must be a misprint for "haga", as Roxanna says, and that is a possibility. None of the normal dictionary definitions of "largar" seems to fit here; it cannot mean "durar", for example (that would be "alargar": "6. tr. Prolongar algo, hacer que dure más tiempo", though of course "larga" might be a misprint for "alarga").

However, "largar un ensayo" is found in some documents from Argentina and Uruguay, and the sense of "largar" seems to be "realizar". For example:

So I think the reading "larga" is probably correct, and that it means literally "while the test is not being carried out", which would more normally be expressed as "until the test is carried out".

As long as the test does not take too long

Explanation:
The difference between "haga" and "larga" is too great to be considered a typo. I think they're saying that the "reactivo" can be preserved but only for a limited length of time. Either that, or the word "no" shouldn't be there, meaning that during the length of time it takes to carry out the test, the "reactivo" should be kept in the ice box. It all depends if the "reactivo" is used in the tests.

Until the test is begun, ...

Explanation:
As suggested elsewhere on the page, larga(r) might be a typo ... or a regional useage.

Being more familiar with Chilean Spanish than other variants, 'largar' doesn't surprise me at all - and I take it to mean 'begin', 'launch'. As in 'largar un misil', for example.

Mientras no se larga el ensayo
