Sorry, I think I have been sitting here too long. I am rephrasing the question, because I got my terms mixed up:

Can anybody help me with asistente and asistencial in these two sentences taken from a list of requirements for specialist medical training courses for foreign students:

d) Tipo de vinculación a la plaza formativa ( residente, asistente, etc... )

RELACION pormenorizada y detallada de las actividades prácticas y aspectos asistenciales desarrollados, con indicación de la CASUISTICA

I don't believe there is an exact equivalence for "asistente" in the US: I think most is covered by the 3 terms above.

"Asistencial": the word here is "clinical". They want to know how much "hands-on" experience the applicant doctor/advanced student has with patients, as opposed to passive observation/research.
