Help needed in reading/understanding the above. Sentence: "La irradiación postoperatoria se ha indicado cuando la cirugía ha sido insuficiente o bien cuando se han encontrado hallazgos patológicos de metástasis ganglionares pélvicas, tumor mayor de 4cm, *bordes infiltrados o próximos*, infiltración parametrial, infiltración en el estroma cervical mayor de 2/3, permeación linfovascular y/o grado histológico 3."

Espera confirmación médica pero...

Creo se refiere a que los bordes han sido 'contaminados' por el cancer. Es decir, las cells se han infiltrado en los bordes proximales.

Many signet ring cells (individual malignant glandular cells) in mucosa replacing the normal mucosa. Note the few benign glands present and how benign appearing the individual malignant cells appear.
