Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical / Is there a dentist in the house???
Spanish term or phrase: sellar el final de preparación
In a technical book about dental prostheses: "Gracias a la aparición de estos nuevos materiales, podemos conseguir ***sellar el final de preparación*** cuando la corona ya está terminada, con lo que controlamos al 100% el sellado."

A picture shows the base of a tooth cap on a plaster model of the tooth stump, giving us to understand that this deals with the fit (ajuste).

One word that makes me uncomfortable here is "preparación" (and of course, "final"); I don't know whether this refers to the porcelain or the act of preparing.

I was posting these questions under "other" but I'm now going to try the doctors' section.
