It caused my mouth to twist (or contort). Explanation: The main issue here is interpreting/translation methodology. If I am interpreting or translating a patient's statement, then I am bound to faithfully deliver the patient’s statement as stated, regardless of the “correct” way of describing the said condition. The clinician may choose to describe the drug reaction in a variety of ways, depending on its exact nature. Most of the time, it is a spasm that affects the jaw muscles, causing the jaw to jerk or twist. But I would not let that knowledge compromise my faithful translation of the patient’s statement.
