Explanation:
After thinking it over many times and trying to understand 'objeto de estudio' ... this is what I think it means. This is along the same lines as what Dr. Jason is suggesting, but I think 'subject matter' may be a clearer way of saying it. (I had my 'curso de psicología general' back in 1969!). Saludos :)
