Medical - Medical (general) / Inpatient medical report
Spanish term or phrase: Humalog Mix 50 Pen: 12-12-0
My question is one of style and equivalency from Spanish to English.

This report lists the medications as follows:

Dianben 850: 1-1-1
Aprovel 300: 1-0-0
Humalog Mix 50 Pen: 12-12-0.
Novomix 30 flexpen: 0=0=12.

I understand this is the meaning of the tablets and the times to take each of the medication, but how do you express that in English? i.e. 12-12-0... means take 1 tablet at 12:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., or take 12 tablets in morning in 12 tablets in afternoon?

By the way, this report is from Spain.

Thank you for helping me find the best way to express this correctly in English. Maria

This pen delivers insulin by injection through needles. The injected amount seems to be selected
Explanation:
from a dial on the pen. The patient ought to adjust the pen to 12 in the morning before injecting and the same in the afternoon. I suppose the number 12 stands for units (not very sure, though).

Good luck
