I am not sure if they mean to say that the neoplasm's outlines are not clearly defined (which should be the case by definition, since they are dealing with a diffuse neoplasm), or if they have not made any attempt to define the extent of the neoplasm. This latter option seems to be the case in your first example sentence, since they state that the size should be determined by ultrasound. |
