Hi! I am translating an article on Alzheimer and I need some help with this phrase: programas de atención cognitiva. This is the context:

Los estudios demuestran que un accionar a tiempo, con programas de atención cognitiva, ejercicios de memoria, entre otros, el paciente podrá desarrollar herramientas para su reincorporación a la comunidad

This is my translation:

Studies show that if addressed in time, with cognitive development programmes and memory exercises, among others, the patient will be able to develop the tools required to return to society.

Explanation:
IMHO "atención cognitiva" is not exactly the same as "desarrollo cognitivo", which would be far more appropriate when talking about children (and possibly teenagers).
