No problem whatsoever concerning your resubmission. I know your discussion entry was mainly addressed to Roxanna but my point regarding my original "note to answer" was that I just get the feeling (rightly or wrongly) that they used suspicion in this context more out of habit than anything else, in that of course they ofter "suspicion" in medical context for "suspicion of adverse events" or in diagnoses where symptoms lead to suspicions of certain diseases, etc. but I just think it's a little odd to say (at least in English) that there is a suspicion that it hasn't been resolved, which again, I feel was said out of habit more than anything. Lastly, I agree, you answer is not wrong. Thanks Liz!

Hi Liz. I have not said that your new suggestion works or not because I am just seeing it this morning. But anyway, in this case it's just a matter of knowing medical jargon even though the original sentence is very poorly constructed. It should have gone something like "... sin haberse descartado el diagnóstico de amiloidosis". It's just using what would sound natural to the target audience which in this case is most likely going to be some healthcare professional.
