Spanish term or phrase: protección con bolsa de plástico
Hi Proz,

Hi Proz,

Help! This a procedure during surgery to avoid wound infection. The "bolsa de plástico" in question is simply that - a sterilised bag which is placed around the incision. Any clue how to say it in English?

Context:

TIA,

Álvaro

the incision was protected by means of a plastic bag
Explanation:
.........if you are in the usual pasive voice mode for medical reports and scientific experiments.

Looking again at the incisión de asistencia I have the impression that they are referring simply to the incision ............

it would be nice if I could spell passive!

Thanks to everyone. Yes, the text does require the passive and this is the suggestion I ultimately used in my translation. I am still unsure as to whether "plastic bag" is adequate, but I don't have any alternative suggestion to the contrary.

Thanks again :O) :O)
