Military / Defense
Spanish term or phrase: Hogar del Soldado
A place in a barracks where soldiers could meet and have drinks (I think). This is from a biography of someone talking about his obligatory military service in the 1940s, in Spain. Thanks in advance.

Or " Soldiers' mess hall' but I think 'soldiers' mess' is sufficient.

I don´t think it's 'mess' now actually, as that is 'comedor'.

E-Club / Enlisted Club

Explanation:
In the United States enlisted servicemen drink and socialize at the e-club which is for enlisted servicemen only. Officers socialize at the o-club or officers club. I don't exactly know if this is correct because there is no context and you said "a place in a barracks". A barracks is where servicemen generally sleep and relax. The e-club would be separate from the barracks.
