Hi,

I am hoping I have selected the right fields for this question but I won't know until I get the answer!
I have a clinical report (Malignancy / Neoplasm) with a number of pages stamped and signed by various doctors from the Peruvian Air Force (FAP).

e.g. E.C. FAP Médico Patólogo
NANCY ROSAS MARROQUIN

E.C. FAP Médico Medicina Nuclear
Maria del Pilar VALLE Yépez

I am assuming that "E.C." stands for their rank but please correct me if I am wrong!

Civilian Employee (of the FAP)

Explanation:
"E.C." stands for "Empleado/a Civil".

This document is an official order granting secondment (comisión de servicio) to certain FAP personnel. The pilots are listed as Coronel FAP Hans Alberto Cisneros Gutiérrez, Comandante FAP Marco Antonio Aparicio Baca, and so on, then come the mechanics, Técnico Inspector FAP XXX, Técnico de 2ª FAP YYY, and finally the Hostesses, who are listed as Empleada Civil FAP Rosa Liz Gonzales Ruiz, and two others whose rank or grade is given as "Empleada Civil".

Then there's this (sorry about the caps):
"EN EL SERVICIO DE MANTENIMIENTO DE LA FUERZA AEREA DEL PERU LOS EMPLEADOS PUBLICOS ( EC), ESTAMOS INMERSOS EN LA MISION DE MATENER UNA FUERZA AEREA MODERNA CON EL MANTENIMIENTO MAYOR AL MATERIAL AERONAUTICO"

Here is a page on a presentation to "personal civil" of the Peruvian armed forces. The photo captions are:
"- General de Ejército, Francisco Javier Contreras Rivas, entrega distinción al EC Melchor Piñan Palacios, quien cumplió 27 años laborando en el CCFFAA.
- EC Carlos Osco Matta, recibe placa recordatoria por sus 26 años de servicio en el CCFFAA, de manos del General de Ejército Francisco Javier Contreras Rivas.
- Personal de empleados civiles del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas que fueron reconocidos por sus años de servicio.
- sistieron a tan emotivo reconocimiento, los familiares y amigos de trabajo de los empleados Piñan y Osco."

These doctors are therefore not career military personnel but civilians employed by the Peruvian Air Force.
