Actually, I've found "shank" too...
à tige inéjectable - anti blowout stem (Bahasa Prancis ke Bahasa ...with non-ejectable shank I would say "tige" means shank, rather than rod. ... as it would for an ordinary tap (clearly, a spherical valve never would!)? ...
