al mediodia no suele hacerse la comida principal por ausencia de la mayoria de los miembros de la familia. se guisa caliente un potaje a base de legumbres o patatas, con algo de carne o asadurilla o carrilladas. son frecuentes tambien los filetes de corazon, con general se consume mucha caspueia por ser carne abundante, muy sabrosa y ser barata, en general se sazona con laurel, vino blanco y debolla y aho en abundancia, con buena salsita para mojar pan que es lo qu llena. esos gisos se guardan para la noche, que es cuando viene el padre. si los chicos pequenos han comido en el colegio(casi cada vez mas frecuente), al venir se les pone la cena si quieren o se les entretiene el hambre hasta la hora de cenar junto al padre, con pan y chocolate o con pan untado de tomate y sal o con un pico, que es el pan con aceite y azucar tan extendido en Andalucia.
En el verano las comidas suelen variar. al venir, en vez de tomar la cena caliente, se merienda gazpacho, ensalada o pan con tomate y con aceite, se bebe su poquito de vino y se sale hasta la hora de la cena a la perta de la calle con las sillas y el vino a charlar con las vecinos porque los dias son mas largos. los chicos somo tienen vacaciones estan todo el dia entrando y saliendo di la casa pidiendo pan con aceite que les entrgan constantemente para que no den la lata.
a eso de las diez se mete la familia dentro y en el patio se saca la mesa y se toma la cena. aunque haga calor, la cena siempre es calliente, es decir, una cena de cuchara:y es una vanidad de mujer de su casa decir que ella siempre guisa caliente y no como algunas que con la disculpa del calor hacen comistrajos para no sudar en la cocina.

It is an opportunity for the family to come together and share a meal and maintain ties with one another before they go back to work, or school, or wherever. However, these days the formal midday "comida" is done less frequently, due to both the mother and the father having jobs, and the "comida" being served at school so the kids don't go home any more for lunch.
