Esto tiene sabor a "producto puntal" ("leading product"), de máxima efectividad, fuerza,impacto o efecto ("top effectiveness/output/impact") Puedes usar cualquiera de éstos términos, aún así, "effectiveness" se usa normalmente cuando se habla de productos. Si el sentido de "de efecto" es de productos innovadores que dejan sin habla a la competencia puedes traducirlo como de consecuencias revolucionarias ("revolutionary effects") salud :-)

But... you wouldn't say *stock products*, because that would refer to *livestock products* The complete term, in English, from Termium:

And, by the way, I have done searches for *productos de efecto* on Google and on Alta Vista, and the *only* context I can find for these is for products having specific *chemical*/*medicinal*/*environmental* effects. Got the same results checking for the combination in dictionaries: *psychotropic effect*

I happened on this by chance (when listing all possible meanings for 'efecto', but as soon as I saw it I could see that it fits with your context of lab. design and specific results.

The dic (Collins Bi) says 'construido al efecto', a ser preciso, but it does make sense in your text.
