English translation: The (Autonomous) Community renounces to mixed management

Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Spanish term or phrase: vease abajo
(after optando por una privatización parcial)

....anunció asimismo que la entrada de capital privado sería total, con lo que la Comunidad renuncia a la gestión mixta.

I think I understand this, but if you are sure you do, I'd love your clarification and translation. Thanks.

English translation:The (Autonomous) Community renounces to mixed management
Explanation:
I believe Telef´s translations are pretty good. Maybe what´s confusing is the term "Community". In Spain, it means Comunidad Autónoma o Autonomía, something like a region or a federal state. The Sociedades Mixtas de Gestión are formed by public and private capital, having what´s called "mixed management" or management from both parties. The public-capital party-la Autonomía- is selling its shares to the private-capital party, therefore renouncing to the management of the society.

All the answers were really great, and the more answers I read, the clearer the situation became. Except what to do with "renunciar," since I simply didn't understand why they used that term. Heuro, your answer finally made something click: they meant, literally, "to resign." Immense thanks to all of you for helping me out of murky depths!

Explanation:

..likewise announced that private capital will enter fully, and hence the Community is waiving the option of a public-private approach.

In your actual translation you may want to stick a little closer to the text.

declared that .....

Explanation:
IT ALSO DECLARED THAT THE ENTIRE CAPITAL INFUSED SHALL BE PRIVATE, PROVIDED THAT THE COMMUNITY AGREED NOT HAVE A MIXED MANAGEMENT

MIXED MANAGEMENT MEANS MANAGEMENT BY BOTH THE PARTIES. THEY WANT MANAGEMENT BY PRIVATE PARTY ONLY.

Explanation:
in English the verb "renounce" doesn't take a preposition. That is, the party doesn't "renounce to the management," but simply "renounces the management." Ahd here, "sociedad" = "company," no?

Otherwise, great!
