Madeline Rios: 5:18pm Feb 19, 2007: This is somewhat helpful, but the list also has "tipo de fuego: central" (fire type: centerfire). Also, the charts all say "tipo de percusión: hemisférica" or "tipo de percusión circular". I also don´t understand what they mean by "obturación: lisa" in this context. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

The "Percutor" is the hammer in a gun. You can translate this as Percussion System Type

still you can say "Percussion System Type" only that in this case the types are "Rimfire" or "Centerfire".
