As I mentioned in another question, English common names do not exist for all plants (especially rare ones no found in English-speaking countries). If you can't find one (I can't so far), I suggest you simply use the scientific name and, depending on the audience, maybe the Spanish name in brackets alongside.

Other plants in the same genus (Salsola) are called saltworts - e.g. Salsola kali = Prickly saltwort. So, you could perhaps say \'the saltwort Salsola marujae. I would put the scientific name in italics (sorry, I don\'t know how to do it here), others prefer to underline it. It\'s just a question of style.
