University level studies

Explanation:
*terciario* is used in the sense of *post-secondary*. Here is an excerpt of a text from Buenos Aires that gives the context for the use of "estudios terciarios":

Promocionan posibilidad de estudios terciarios en
EE.UU.

Are you translating into Australian/New Zealand English?

Explanation:
Hi, Omar,

Hope your client is in Australia/NewZealand, because that appears to be the only place where "tertiary studies" has the meaning of post-secondary studies! I just went through the first five pages of the URL the first answerer gave you, and, aside from one site from the University of Pretoria, they are **all** in Au/NZ! Anyone in the US/Canada/UK is not going to be familiar with this use of the term. Rather, to all us Northern Hemisphere types, it will mean "someone who studies Tertiary geology." Äs a US university professor for over 30 years, I can assure you that "tertiary studies" would have no other meaning to me or to my colleagues. Rather, we would refer to such studies as either "university level studies" or, for a broader range of studies, "post-secondary studies." The latter would include such things as auto mechanics courses, cosmetology schools, and other such trade schools.

And, for that matter, "estudios terciarios" is not going to be understandable in Spanish to anyone outside the Southern Cone of S. Amer. Must be one of those North/South divide things! Interesting!
