No se me ocurre un equivalente en inglés. Se trata de la personificación de una marca de jabón en polvo, aparece el narcisista, el chanta, etc. Lo que dice de "el chanta" es que es inconstante, irresponsable, no le gusta trabajar, se duerme en los laureles, no pienda sobre el futuro.

No para estirar la cosa demasiado, pero me parece que Puck, el carácter literario de Shakespeare incorpora más o menos – a mi parecer – la definición de Chanta como lo presentas. Hellion es otra posibilidad. Espero que esto sea de ayuda.
