Term appears throughout document. Here are two instances:

El edificio E o Paul Tepikian, construido dentro de las instalaciones de la compañìa Esso Standard Oil S.A de Guatemala, situadas en la Avenida Petapa 19-11 zona 12 de esta ciudad, está constituido por una estructura de concreto reforzado formado por zapatas aisladas, columnas, vigas y losas prefabricadas (viguetas + bovedillas).


Por lo tanto, con la capacidad soporte asumida y las cargas obtenidas en el análisis se revisaron las presiones que las zapatas (todas miden 2.70 x 2.70 x 0.50 mts.) ejercen sobre el suelo, habiéndose determinado que la presión para la condición de cargas de gravedad sobrepasa la capacidad soporte permisible del suelo en un 7.8% y para la condición de carga vertical + sismo la presión se encuentra debajo de lo permisible. Puede considerarse aceptable el tamaño de las zapatas si tomamos en cuenta que generalmente se toma un factor de seguridad de 3 para el suelo.
