I grew up with it in the San Francisco (California) Bay Area, where it is the ground-cover of choice, especially in areas where sandy dunes are subject to being shifted by onshore winds. -- HTH, HC |

aloe vera Explanation: This is the translation for "sábila". It seems strange that they are using aloe vera for protecting hillsides. In Venezuela, we use "agave" for protecting hillsides, not aloe vera. From a distance, both plants look somewhat similar. |
