/ Psychology - Lacan
concert of meanings, richness of ideas
The idea, psychological in nature, is that objects or signs (signals, really) can be blended into a concert of a higher order than that of the components themselves (roughly, that 2 + 2 = 5) --- and that the human mind is the only one capable of "impregnating" signals or objects with such high levels of meaning.

It is fairly common to hear the expression 'pregnant with meaning', but the word pregnancy by itself would refer almost exclusively to embarazo, and 'meanings' alone does not convey the sense of the original.
