Spanish term or phrase:Posada
I am translating the text for a Web site from Spanish to English. Therer are some terms I am not sure about from the following passage:
"CONOCÉ NUESTRAS POSADAS
La modalidad de recibir y acompañar al que se acerca a cada una de estas Posadas del Camino se basa en establecer un vínculo de confianza mutua y a partir de ese vínculo construir un nuevo proyecto de vida, desaprendiendo vicios adquiridos para sobrevivir en la calle e incorporando hábitos que permitan llevar una vida digna y autónoma.
1- Hogares de Tránsito
Son casas donde las personas de la calle encuentran, además de alojamiento, higiene y alimento, el afecto y el trato personal y profesional que les permite irse reencontrando con los elementos mínimos para poder reinsertarse en la sociedad.
2- Casas de paso intermedio
La finalidad de este tipo de espacio es seguir acompañando en la etapa final del proceso de reinserción social a algunas de las personas que han participado de cualquiera de las otras posadas del Camino (hogar, talleres, duchas)..."
How can I translate "Posadas", "Hogares de tránsito" and Casas de paso intermedio"...?
'Haven' is rather poetical, but then so is 'Posada del Camino'. Maybe a proper name is what's needed here. There seem to be 2 categories in these Posadas, and they could receive the more precise names (eg transit homes)
"Haven" is nowadays a rather old-fashioned term, except where it comes to poetry or suchlike. I've looked at your links and I think calling a home as a proper noun sounds just fine, but I don't think it fits in here.
'Posada' normalmente es 'inn', pero aquí tiene otro sentido. Se me ocurre que podrías usar alguna combinación con 'welcome' o 'hospitality'. Te comento que es un término por pregunta
