After all, the Spanish stole the word "spaghetti" and turned it into "espaguetis", and a few more...

If you go into any good supermarket in England, (not to mention New York!), or a good baker, you'll probably find these things labelled "grissini"; and isn't "breadstick" a little too general, covering a range of different types of long thin more or less crunchy sticks made of something like bread dough?

So I am a confessed Italophile, ¿y qué? !!

By the way some good recipes for the thing can be found via google - thank God it's almost supper time, I'm hungry after all that.
