g/l Explanation: I've had a look at the references given by "ybroad". There isn't "gl" but "g./l.", and that means "gram per litre". Perhaps "ybroad" hasn't seen the sites, but only the Google summary, where "." and "/" may not appear. (What should "gl" mean?)
