Geum quellyon - Llallante - Chilean Avens Explanation: Well, I'm not sure but this is a possibility. There is a plant called Chilean Avens whose scientific name is Geum quellyon and Spanish (or Mapuche) name is Llallante. I don't know (and haven't been able to find out) whether it's used as a medicinal herb. Hope this helps anyway, Sheila Geum quellyon--Chilean Avens http://www.msue.msu.edu/msue/imp/modzz/00000665.html Quechu: cinco. Quechuquina: martin pescador. Quelhue, quelihue: tintura roja. Leliantü Geum chilense Geum chiloense Geum chiloensis Geum quellyon Canelilla Hallante Hierba del clavo Llallante Double or semi-double vermillion flowers of "Blazing Sunset" are half again as large as most hybrids of Geum quellyon (synonymous with G. chiloense). The size & persistence of the blooms makes "Blazing Sunset" a superior choice for any garden from which cuttings will be taken for bouquets. http://www.paghat.com/geumdoublered.html Reference: http://www.interpatagonia.com/mapuche/diccionario.html Reference: http://www.geocities.com/auka_mapu/documentos/catalogusplant... |
