Es parte de un testimonio donde el declarante está diciendo las razones por las que siente que fue discriminado cuando solicito cambio de turno por cuestiones de salud pero le fue negado. El declarante dice "Además al hacerle el acercamiento a través del Insp. XXXX YYYY para que me cambiaran el turno ya que me estaba viendo afectado por mi condición de salud y llevaba aproximadamente tres meses en dicho turno y la contestación que me dio el Insp. YYYY fue y citamos “que el Cmdte. ZZZZ me manifestó que aquí habría que morir con las botas puestas”

No quiero hacer la traducción textual porque no va a llevar el mismo significado pero no encuentro una frase en inglés que pueda servir igual.

"They Died with Their Boots On" is a classic 1941 American western film directed by Raoul Walsh and starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. I believe the expression "die with one's boots on" is earlier.
