Mi intento es/fue "in fact", pero quisiera saber si me pudiesen ayudar con algo más preciso, ya que encontré este artículo (que solo puedo revisar eb resumen ya que viene de una página pagada)

These are the two translations found there.

I also found "indeed" in Oxford, but opted not to list it since it sounds out of place to me in this particular context, where as "as a matter of fact" or "in point of fact" sound natural in your given context. I need to analyze why I get that impression - but that is my gut reaction.
