Science - Petroleum Eng/Sci / Calculating the porosity of clay and shale | | Spanish term or phrase: El % en volumen de “shale” estimado con perfiles | Hi All,
I'm currently translating a document on managing shale gas resources, and am having difficulty with this term in the below context:
"El % en volumen de “shale” estimado con perfiles ha sido, y lo es actualmente, frecuentemente utilizado para el cálculo de la porosidad derivada de perfiles, pretendiendo que esta última represente la porosidad libre del efecto de arcillas pero, paradójicamente, sin emplear en el cálculo el % en volumen de arcilla puro."
My problem is with the term "estimado con perfiles" - research on the internet has drawn a complete blank and I can't seem to get my hands on any information that might help.
Any suggestions?
