El concepto de “Historia” lineal de Oxidente forzosamente adyace al concepto de un relato que puede recombinarse, desarmarse, remasterizarse, fragmentarse. Modernismo y posmodernismo no son contrarios o, siquiera, sucesivos. Son complementarios.

Can't find adyace in the DRAE. Any ideas on how to translate it here?

agree  DLyons: The verb is related to "adyacencia" but "adjacent to" doesn't really work. So I'd go with "parallels".
