Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts)
Spanish term or phrase: caja
This is the same as my other question - guidelines for website designers for a major wine label. "Box" doesn't sound right to me here.

"En la medida de lo posible se utilizarán semitransparencias (en diferentes valores), tanto en la cabecera como en el cuerpo de la caja."

neutral  jbren: a frame is not a box. Frame is of older usage. I believe frames reflect older design practices.

box

Explanation:
Why not box?

Box seems to be used with a clearly defined meaning in current web design. Try searching for "CSS Box."

Most of the Spanish terminology for web design is carried over from English anyway...

Note to Asker...
You may be right though my impression is that box is also referenced more generically, regardless of content type. It also depends on what you read since it is a rapidly changing literature.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Why not box: It seems to always be preceded by something, it is a text box, an X or Y box, but never just plain box. At least that is what I have seen.
