En términos náuticos, calado = Draught. Se trata de la parte sumergida de una embarcación (por debajo de la línea de flotación). Creo que aquí es idéntico, porque si se tratara de la profundidad del canal / vena de agua diría eso, profundidad, que es lo que se traduce como "depth".
Es decir, se trata (según entiendo) de definir, en este caso, la altura máxima del objeto que debe ser introducido en el canal |
