The Oxford bilingual Spanish-English dictionary has a section about 'quedar en' as having to do with 'acordar, convenir" = to agree. Other meanings are 'arranged' or 'decided.'

Here is a bilingual pair of example sentences: "Quedamos en que al que le importa más el tema económico va a votar a Avodá ... We agreed that those who care more about economic issues will vote for Avoda ..."
