We agreed that Explanation: Quedar en que = often used to mean 'to agree' The whole sentence: 'We agreed that they would go to sleep with the light off.' -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 mins (2007-04-06 06:08:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The Oxford bilingual Spanish-English dictionary has a section about 'quedar en' as having to do with 'acordar, convenir" = to agree. Other meanings are 'arranged' or 'decided.' Here is a bilingual pair of example sentences: "Quedamos en que al que le importa más el tema económico va a votar a Avodá ... We agreed that those who care more about economic issues will vote for Avoda ..." |
