This is a quote from Stendahl and is to be used on business cards, website, etc. for a Spanish company marketing spanish delicacies made by artisans in the most traditional way. I am looking for a nice translation. My first try is:

neutral  jack_speak: Your example uses "our" soul, which works in that case,, otherwise "the" soul works. But just plain "Soul" as the starting point of the sentence seems like youn are referring to soul music.

The soul is the concert of our passions

Explanation:
Since the source text is rather poetic, or lyrical, I thought the translation could be, too. (Interestingly, our source text here is not an original, but itself a translation from the French.)
I thought of 'assembly', 'gathering', 'gathering-place', or 'ensemble'.

Finally went with 'concert' in the sense of harmony, collaboration, gathering, unity. It also has the musical connotation, of course. And it just seemed a lovely word in a way that 'sum' isn't, quite. Though I like Eileen's translation!

agree  Charles Davis: I think this deserves an "agree". And since Stendhal's word is "ensemble", you could argue that "concert" is suitable!

-> Gracias tocayo... Yeah, me and Stendhal, that's how we roll... saludos! Pablo Julián

neutral  jack_speak: Pablo, I like the idea of a take-off from the musicality/enemble aspect of the meaning, though I'd use "symphony" instead of "concert."
1 hr
-> Thanks, Jack, nice idea! - Pablo Julián

agree  Aisha Prigann: I like the musical connotation. Symphony might provide a nice bit of alliteration.
15 hrs
-> Thanks Aisha. For me, 'concert' keeps the main meaning of sum or group, while having a musical connotation as secondary. That was my thought, anyway.

The soul is our cluster of passion

Explanation:
Since it is a marketing slogan, it should be quick and catchy, maybe even make the reader pause and reflect.

Also:
The soul is the set of all passions.
Our passions are our soul. (if the client will let you switch it up).

I also like the ideas about symphony and confluence I suggested to others above, since those words conjure up sophistication, in my mind, anyway.

Best of luck!
