Spanish to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature | | Spanish term or phrase: unas parrillas nutridas de | Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of phrases from a novel (fiction based on fact) I'm translating.
Here's the context for the first one:
Ellos, que sólo buscaban una discreta difusión mediática para dar con su Pepe, se toparon con una inesperada avidez de los periodistas por difundir una buena noticia, algo poco común en unas parrillas nutridas de trifulcas políticas, sucesos truculentos y decepciones deportivas.
I just cant find the right word for parrillas!!
thanks

Explanation: Or even "packed with".
"Parrilla" is a synonym of "rejilla", in the sense of
"8. f. En radio y televisión, esquema o cuadro de programación." (DRAE)

So in principle it means "schedules" (ie. listings, what's on), and almost certainly refers to TV schedules, but perhaps "programming" would work better. It presumably refers specifically to news programming, though in context it's probably not necessary to specify.

Asker: Hi yes that was my problem, to find a word that fits all kinds of news or "press" not just tv news... I think programming should work.
Thanks and happy christmas to everyone who answered/commented! Barbara
