Spanish term or phrase: enternecido
…y acercándose a la ventana abierta saludaba enternecido a su ría, sus montes y sus árboles, alzando luego la vista agradecida hasta la Capelada.

Does anybody have a brilliant idea for an elegant translation of enternecido?

Thanks very much

I can find both 'moved' and 'touched' as definitions for the verb 'enternecer'. Good luck.
