Spanish term or phrase:Afán de poder
Hola a todos, es el título de un capítulo de un libro sobre psicología, dentro del contexto, en el párrafo dice:
"El afán de poder es un rasgo innato del ser humano en cuanto se considera ser social en interdependencia con otros individuos. Algunos persiguen, logran o mantienen el poder con gran empeño empleando para ello toda su energía vital."
Me he quedado un poco bloqueada, y no atino a dar con una traducción que me satisfaga, se me ha ocurrido "thrist for power"... y me quedo con la sensación que estoy hablando de una bebida energética!... o "power drive"... y entonces pienso en coches!!!
Agradecería más sugerencias, o si existe una frase estándar como traducción, o si alguna de las que pongo sería válida para el contexto según su opinión...
