Spanish term or phrase: esquema mental
Hi again
I thought I was clear about this one - mental template - but now not so sure. Any suggestions appreciated. It comes up hundreds of times so I need to be sure: eg
En cuanto a la estructura organizativa, la Escuela Cognitiva establece una estrecha relación entre los esquemas mentales de los miembros de una organización y la estructura, formal e informal de la misma
Esta lógica dominante es un esquema mental compartido por el ápice estratégico que actúa como un filtro a la información proporcionada por el entorno y que, a su vez, se ve reflejada en los sistemas y estructuras organizativos (Grant, 1988).

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
agree  Richard Boulter: This is the better solution for the source context. If the author had wanted to be so formal as to say 'paradigm' he could have used 'paradigma' or other formal words, so this less-formal idiom is appropriate.
