IN RESPONSE TO MARGARET'S NEUTRAL:

Since "proof" is the only word I have suggested that had already been posted (just ONE minute earlier, I hasten to add), I don't see much justification for this neutral, at all. Indeed, my original suggestion, made prior to Rafael's, still stands. As for my additional suggestion (made a minute later), it's still significantly different from that of Rafael (whose work I respect greatly).

If what you mean is the document given to the buyer as a receipt for their down payment, then that deposit is called Earnest Money, therefore, the document would be Earnest Money receipt.

Now, if what you mean is a document that proves that the buyer has the funds enough for making the down payment, or that they have done the down payment, that would be called "proof of down payment", i.e. a bank statement that shows I have enough money in my account to make the deposit.

However, without much context, this is my best try.
