Usually, when giving coordinates, this follows the degrees. Capitalization rules seem to vary, and there's no real need to capitalize both words, although it's too late for me to change that in my response now. ;-) Also, you'll often see just abbreviations. In other words, you'll see "77º west longitude," "77º West longitude", "77º W," etc.

For examples, just type in "west longitude" (or "east longitude", "north latitude" or "south latitude") on Google, and you'll get a gazillion hits in native-English-speaking countries from around the world.

Thank you vey much! I thought it was a mistake at the beginning but then i googled it and found the same expression "Longitud weste" in a few sites, mostly texts like the one i'm tanslating from piers in chile. I couldnt figure the meaning then.
